Mines

Federation Mines are semi-smart and will not latch on to federation vessels. Mines have to be passive (otherwise they would be detected and shot by enemy vessels). Of course, given the vastness of space they would need to detect and move towards any target. Therefore let’s say initially that they will move rapid towards any non-federation vessel that travels within 1,000 km of them.

The player ship uses its cargo transporters to launch mines, and for each transporter dedicated to the mine laying operation, a mine can be laid every minute.

I will work out the explosive yield of the mine later (this feature is very far down the list of systems we will be implementing).
