Apostates

This is the collective term for all members of the empire who have broken away from the teachings of Ra. Although the Ramans refer to them as a collective group, in reality there is almost no cohesive movement. Individuals have broken away fro a variety of reasons, to escape the oppressive Ramans, to start new communes etc. All Raman forces are under orders to kill Apostates on sight. For this reason they keep well away from all other starships and will flee the moment they detect a players ship.

The apostates are more like the survivalists hiding out in the mountains because they don't trust the government than the rebels of Star Wars.

For the most part they do not want contact with anyone and will fight to keep it that way.
