Holodecks

Holodecks are used for recreation and can be used to aid in research. A standard Galaxy class ship has 16 holodecks. 

Holodecks are automatically turned off during combat to conserve energy. After combat has finished, they will automatically turn back on (if they were on before the combat).

Each holodeck that is offline during non-combat moments decreases the crew’s morale by 1% per day.

1-4 crew members may elect to use each holodeck in their time off.

Power Requirements

Each Holodeck takes 100MW of power.

Dev Notes

We don’t particularly care about what programs are running on the holodeck however we should have a random list of program names that might provide some amusement for the bridge crew if they call them up (just to round off the full Enterprise simulation). Holodecks are booked in 1 hour blocks, so every hour the names will be regenerated.

Holodecks are very sophisticated machines and any damage will prevent them from being used. Therefore if the holodeck health drops below 100% they will go offline.
