Internal Communications
The internal communications array is essential for transmitting orders to crew members. It is very resilient to damage due to it's highly distributed nature, but if it is knocked offline, then instructions cannot be transmitted to the crew. The one exception is the engineering teams who carry localized communicators in-case of such an emergency.
In the absence of internal communications crew members will continue with any designated tasks and once those are finished work on default behavior (i.e. medicals heal wounded crew, security patrol etc.)

Internal comms draws 1MW of power when it is online.
